From the depths of Chowpatty Beach in Mumbai to the cobbled streets of Covent Garden in London comes this pop up bar by the owners of the critically acclaimed Bombay Cafe.
Coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the original Festival of Britain, Dishoom of Covent Garden are bringing a little piece of Chowpatty Fever to London.
Set on 48 tonnes of sand, you’ll get views of the Thames rather than the Arabian Sea, however the scent of the traditional street side food including Pau Bhaji and Vada Pau will linger in the same familiar way.
Oh and for extra measure…word on the street tells me that the bar will be made from recycled bottles and you’ll have railway sleepers to sit on as benches! So drop by between 13th May – 4th October for a full on Mumbai experience!
