Random Thought

Was out over the weekend and whilst standing by the food table, I found myself encouraging a fellow guest to eat the food so that I wouldn’t look so bad. Anyway one thing led to another and we ended up discussing how when your drinking, your consuming a fair amount of calories and how if one were to eat whilst drinking, the calorific content is increased considerably. My response to this I felt was so ingenious that I should share it:

Obviously everyone knows celery, carrot and cauliflower amongst others are considered to be negative calorie foods*, therefore whist drinking highly calorific drinks i.e. alcohol, one should nibble at one of the negative calorie foods and continuously dance in order to bypass the intake of the calories in the alcohol. – Ingenious!!! (Well I think so anyway!!)  

*Negative calorie foods are foods, which use more calories to digest than the calories food actually contains! Calories from these foods are much harder for the body to use. In other words, the body has to work hard in order to extract calories from these foods. Even though a food may contain equal amount of calories, much less of these calories can possibly turn into fat in negative calorie foods as fewer calories are actually available to the body.
